Hydro Jetting for Sewer and Drain Lines In Oceanside, NY

When a drain machine only punches a hole through the clog, hydro jetting cleans the pipe back to its full diameter, so the problem stays gone longer.

Hydro jetting sends water at very high pressure through a specialized hose and nozzle. Rear-facing jets pull the hose forward while scouring the entire inside of the pipe, flushing grease, sludge, scale and root fibers down the line and out.

It is the right tool for lines that clog again and again, kitchen lines packed with grease, and sewer mains with light root intrusion. Before we jet, we check the pipe condition, because very old or broken pipe needs a repair rather than more pressure.

Signs you need hydro jetting

  • Drains that clog again soon after being snaked
  • Kitchen lines with years of grease buildup
  • Light tree root intrusion in the sewer lateral
  • Scale or sludge narrowing older cast-iron pipe
  • Preventive cleaning before selling or buying a home
  • Restaurants and multi-family buildings with heavy use

How We Handle It

Inspect first

A camera inspection confirms the pipe is sound enough for jetting.

Choose the nozzle

Different nozzles cut roots, break up grease or flush sediment.

Jet the line

We work the full length of the line from the cleanout.

Verify the result

A second camera pass shows you the cleaned pipe.

Hydro Jetting vs. Snaking

A drain snake (cable machine) is fast and effective for a single blockage like a wad of wipes or hair. But it leaves residue stuck to the pipe walls, and that buildup catches the next clog.

Jetting removes the buildup itself. It costs more than a basic drain cleaning, but for lines that keep backing up it usually saves money by stopping the repeat calls.

Frequently asked questions

  • Is hydro jetting safe for old pipes?

For sound pipe, yes. That is why we inspect first. If the camera shows cracked clay or badly deteriorated cast iron, we will recommend a repair instead of jetting.

  • How long does hydro jetting take?

Most residential lines take a few hours, including the camera inspection before and after.

  • Will jetting remove tree roots?

It cuts and flushes light root intrusion. Heavy roots usually mean a joint has failed, and the section may need repair to keep roots from growing back.

  • How often should a line be jetted?

Homes rarely need it more than every few years. Busy kitchens and buildings with heavy use may benefit from yearly maintenance.
